As parents, it can be painful when your child or family is struggling in
some way. It can be difficult to figure out what is contributing to the
problem and how to begin to address it. Sometimes parents feel at a loss
about what
to do differently.
I have seen children in many different clinical contexts over the years. I
have had lots of practice in connecting with all kinds of kids in order to
help them better understand their feelings, manage stress, and improve their
relationships with their friends, family and with themselves!
Collaborating with parents helps me do my best work. My contact with parents
can range from once a week to a few times a year. At times, it can be
helpful to meet with parent and child together to talk directly about things
that have come up, or to meet with the family as a group.
